This theater is prejudiced against those with disabilities. Instead of accommodating to the needs of those with disabilities, the extremely unprofessional and rude general manager criticizes those same people for their disabilities and throws them out of the theater because they are "bothering other patrons," and then refuses to provide corporate HR information when customers are unhappy with the bad service.
Also intolerant to those with neurological disorders. One patron had a seizure in the theater during the movie, and instead of providing assistance, the general manager told those with the patron to "quiet them down" and eventually threw the patron out of the theater.
Under the ADA of 1990, disability is defined as "...a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity."
Title II of the ADA "prohibits disability discrimination by all public entities at the local (i.e. school district, municipal, city, county) and state level."
"Under Title III, no individual may be discriminated against on the basis of disability with regards to the full and equal enjoyment of the goods, services, facilities, or accommodations of any place of public accommodation by any person who owns, leases (or leases to), or operates a place of public accommodation. "Public accommodations" include most places of lodging (such as inns and hotels), recreation, transportation, education, and dining, along with stores, care providers, and places of public displays, among other things."
Take note, Cinemark.
great movie!! clean nice and cheap on the movie tickets. food cost the same as others so what you save on the movie ticket you spend on food. STILL SO MUCH CHEAPER so for the cost of getting in at some places you get in and get food. I say what a deal, as my daughter says its like getting the food free.
I would like to reference the 2nd and 3rd post here about this not being a dollar theater. Way back when it used to be a buck to go to this theater, I would say late 90's early 2000 time frame, and yes I guess I am showing my age here. So at one point it was only a buck to go here and Tuesday was 50cents until 4pm. So the good old days were true, it was a buck. But as life goes on we have to pay more, people should be happy, I read one person they felt gouged, and they should feel that way, things are to high and do not need to be. It is great we can still go see a movie at a great price and still have money left over for some popcorn and a drink, and all that is just the cost of the ticket price at AMC. Well this is our choice of theater and will be until it is gone,
Omg i love this theater wth is that person talking about its never more then 2 bucks! I take my kids all the time as a matter of fact i dont even go to lennox and all those others because its the same quality but for a MUCH cheaper price! This is where we see all of our 3D movies now too im so happy they added 3D this gets 5 stars from the Perry Family :-)
I love the carriage place theater. I have actually stopped going to the other theaters altogether due to the incredibly high prices. I can't help but feel that I'm being gouged every time I purchase a ticket. And the 3D movies are even worse! Super high prices for a movie that may have a whopping 5-10 minutes of actual 3D in it. Sooooo not worth it. I can see the same 3D movie here for around $4 and I feel I'm not being taken advantage of.
i think a bear musta pooped in someones cornflakes this morning...this is a GREAT dollar theatre...i have taken my kids there thru their whole growing-up years (and their friends)...will soon be taking my grand-children...this theatre has the community's full support...SRO on weekends and holidays...
I have no idea what the dopey blond is talking about reference 'this is not a dollar theater.", etc. I would venture to guess as have others that she is employed by Red Box in some capacity.
Great location, safe environment and very clean. The price is right as well, I have never paid more than $2.00 for a ticket. Sound system is not 5.1 dolby surround but certainly more than adequate.
I'm new to columbus and this is surly my theater of choice.I go every week and i always watch two movies cause its so cheap.I've never paid more than 2$ per movie of course...this place is cheap,CLEAN ENVIROMENT, and have a great frendly staff.I would recommend this theater to ANyBODY..!!
The theater is great, the sound is great and for the price you cannot beat it, the most we spend is 2.50. They have an arcade that my girls love to go to either before or after the movie. The employees are professional and polite. The only thing that can be compared to the Lenox, Easton or the Arena Grand is the price of the snacks because they are regular movie prices but with the deal on the tickets they need to make the money somewhere.
Been going here for over 10 years and have paid between 1.00 and 1.50, the idiot with the comment that the cost is about the same as lennox is nuts
